81aes Environmental Management Inc U Haul#709-50 <br /> 002-70950 04 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> 01/23/03 <br /> 4.0 CONCLUSIONS <br /> Blaes Environmental conducted the groundwater monitoring and sampling event for the third quarter of <br />' 2002 at U-Haul facility #709-50 in Stockton, California on September 23-26, 2002 Average <br /> groundwater levels recorded in September 2002 were approximately 7 feet lower than those recorded <br />' during the June 2002 monitoring event Based on the groundwater level measurements from both "B" <br /> and "C" casing wells, the groundwater surface map for September 2002 indicates a relatively flat <br /> gradient with a variable flow direction <br /> Analytical results of groundwater samples collected in September 2002 from both "B" and "C" casing <br /> wells indicated the presence of hydrocarbons in groundwater Results of samples collected from the "B" <br /> ' casing wells revealed that the main portion of the hydrocarbon plume (benzene concentrations greater <br /> than 10,000 pg/L) is located around wells MW-2B and MW 3B Results of samples collected from the <br /> t "C" casing wells revealed higher hydrocarbon concentrations near wells MW-4C and MW-6C <br /> Groundwater samples from neither the "B" nor "C" casing wells were found to have reportable levels of <br /> ifuel additives <br /> i <br /> 1 <br /> i <br /> 10 <br /> i <br /> i <br />
