any tank truck, the lowermost drain and all outlets of such vehicles are <br /> closely examined for leaks, and if necessary, tightened , adjusted, or <br /> replaced to prevent liquid leaks while in transit. Specific source <br /> overfill prevention procedures follow : <br /> o All sources are inspected monthly and annually according to <br /> Table G-5 . <br /> o Tank is equipped with liquid level gauge . Fuel deliver drivers <br /> have spill absorbent material on hand to clean up spills . The <br /> tank fill port is equipped with overfill spill bucket that has a <br /> capacity of approximately eight ( 8) gallons . <br /> A 15 - gallon bucket of spill absorbent is readily available . <br /> o Tanks are equipped with liquid level dip stick and a large <br /> opening to see inside the tank. Fuel delivery drivers have spill <br /> absorbent material on hand to clean up spills . <br /> o Transfer quantities are limited to the used oil capacity of the <br /> portable oil drains, typically 20 -gallons . Prior to transfer, the <br /> employee is instructed to look into the tank, remove the dip <br /> stick to check the level of the liquid in the tank . Transfers are <br /> only completed if tank is less than 90% full . <br /> Liquid level sensing devices are regularly tested to ensure proper operation ❑X ❑ <br /> ( See Inspection Log and Schedule in attachments) . ( § 112 . 6 (a) (3 ) (iii) <br /> Visible discharges which result in a loss of oil from the container, including ❑X ❑ <br /> but not limited to seams, gaskets , piping, pumps, valves, rivets , and bolts are <br /> promptly corrected and oil in diked areas is promptly removed . ( § 112 . 8 (c) ( 10 <br /> and 112 . 12 (c) ( 10)) <br /> Aboveground valves, piping, and appurtenances such as flange joints , ❑x ❑ <br /> expansion joints , valve glands and bodies, catch pans, pipeline supports, <br /> locking of valves, and metal surfaces are inspected regularly . ( See Inspection <br /> Log and Schedule in attachments) ( 112 . 8 (d) (4) and 112 . 12 (d)(4)) <br /> Integrity and leak testing are conducted on buried piping at the time ❑ ❑X <br /> installation, modification, construction, relocation, or replacement . ( See <br /> Inspection Log and Schedule in attachments) ( § I 12 . 8 (d) (4) and <br /> 112 . 12(d) (4) ) <br /> Onshore Oil Production Facilities (excluding drilling and workover facilities) (§ 112 . 9 (b) , <br /> (c) , and (d) : <br /> 1 ) The owner/operator must meet the general rule requirements as well as requirements under <br /> this section . Note that not all provisions may be applicable to all owners/operators . Accumulated oil on the <br /> rainwater is returned to storage or disposed of in accordance with legally <br /> approved methods .
