This case does not meet all of the required criteria of the Policy. A summary
evaluation of compliance with the Policy is shown in Attachment 1: Compliance with State
Water Board Policies and State Law. The Conceptual Site Model upon which the evaluation of
the case has been made is described in Attachment 2: Summary of Basic Case Information
(Conceptual Site Model). Highlights of the case follow:
This case is an active business. Excavation was conducted to a total depth of 15 feet during the
tank removal in 1985 though the unauthorized release was not reported until April 1988. Soil vapor
extraction was conducted between December 2010 and August 2011, which reportedly removed
approximately 8,258 pounds of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg). Since 2004, six
groundwater monitoring wells have been installed and regularly monitored. According to
groundwater data, water quality objectives have been achieved or nearly achieved except in the
source area well MW-5.
The petroleum release is limited to the soil and shallow groundwater. According to data available
in GeoTracker, there are no supply wells regulated by the California Department of Public Health
or surface water bodies within 1,000 feet of the Site. No other water supply wells have been
identified within 1,000 feet of the Site in files reviewed. Water is provided to water users near the
Site by the Stockton East Water District and by the California Water Service.
FELICIA MARCLS,CHAIR I THOMAS HOWARD,EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
1001 1 Street,Sacramento,CA 95814 I Mailing Address:P.O.Box 100,Sacramento,C895812-0100 I www.waterboards,ca.gov
a1 R C.aEO PAPER
