(AGE).
The Report documents a 60-day in-situ air sparging (IAS) pilot test conducted at your site from
March of 2012, through May of 2012. The onsite soil vapor extraction (SVE) system was
operated during the air sparge test to capture released vapors at MW-6. Soil vapors were
recovered throughout the test using the SVE system and wells VW-1 and MW-5. AGE
concludes in the Report that laboratory analytical results indicate significant hydrocarbon mass
was removed and recommended that an additional vapor recovery well would be warranted in
the vicinity of MW-5 should full scale implementation of AS commence on site.
AGE recommends preparation of a corrective action plan (CAP) further evaluating the feasibility
of ground water remedial technologies for the site, based on the findings of the 60-day air
sparging test, coupled with the results from the initial 72-hour pilot test performed in December
of 2011. Furthermore, AGE states that a final remediation plan will be included in the proposed
CAP and will detail procedures for the installation of additional remedial wells and a permanent
remedial system at the site. Proceed with the submittal of CAP. Submit the CAP to the EHD by
November 12, 2012.
If you have any questions please contact Lisa Medina at (209) 468-3455 or by email at
Imedina@sjcehd.com.
Lisa Medina Nuel C.
