1 <br /> 1 <br /> Site Background Information <br /> ' Former OCAMPO PROPERTY <br /> 821 South Wilson Way, Stockton, California <br /> The site is located at the northeast corner of the intersection between East Taylor Street and South <br /> Wilson Way Frontage Road in the south central portion of the City of Stockton,San Joaquin County, <br /> ' California It is situated in an area of mixed commercial,light industrial,and residential use The site <br /> is currently occupied by tenants who live onsite and are involved in rebuilding vehicles and <br /> recycling <br /> 1 <br /> REGIONAL GEOLOGIC/HYDROGEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> ' The site is situated within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of California, a large, elongate, <br /> northwest-tending, asymmetric structural trough The Great Valley Province has been filled with <br /> ' thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to Recent, creating a nearly flat-lying <br /> alluvial plain,which extends from the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to the Klamath Mountains <br /> ' in the north The western and eastern boundaries of this province are comprised of the California <br /> Coast Range and the Sierra Nevada, respectively Rocks composing the basement complex of the <br /> province have not been completely defined but are believed to be of metamorphic and igneous <br /> ' origin The Great Valley Province has been subdivided into two mayor divisions, identified as the <br /> Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys <br /> ' The Modesto, Riverbank, and Turlock Lake Formations and overlying Recent alluvium are the <br /> principal sources of domestic ground water in the 13,500-square mile San Joaquin Valley Ground <br /> Water Basin(Basin 5-22) This basin is drained primarily by the San Joaquin River The actual depth <br /> ' to groundwater at the site is 40 to 45 feet below surface grade (bsg), based on the depth to water <br /> measurements from wells installed on-site The nearest surface water feature in the vicinity is the <br /> Mormon Slough, approximately 1,200 feet south of the site <br /> UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> 1 ' <br /> It is AGE's understanding that a single 550-gallon underground storage tank (UST)was removed <br /> from the site by Kleinfelder&Associates on December 18, 1985 A soil sample collected from under <br /> ' the UST after removal indicated that high concentrations of lead were present in the soil <br /> ' PREVIOUS SITE INVESTIGATIONS <br /> ' A soil boring was advanced at the site on November 25, 1998 by Upgradient Environmental <br /> Consultants, petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected from the boring <br /> Analytical results of the samples are included in Table 1 Due to the detection of contamination, a <br /> ' work plan addendum was prepared by Upgradient Environmental Consultants, and a revised <br /> Advancers GeoE nvironmental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
