t' - <br /> Monitoring Well Installation and Quarterly Report-First Quarter 2004 <br /> FORMER OCAMPO PROPERTY <br /> ' 821 South Wilson Way, Stockton, California <br /> 1 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Victor Aranda, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> ' monitoring well installation and quarterly report for the property located at 821 South Wilson Way, <br /> Stockton, California The scope of work included the advancement of three soil borings, the <br /> installation of three wells, development of the wells, the performance of a quarterly ground water <br /> ' monitoring event and the preparation of this report The site and the surrounding area are illustrated <br /> on Figure 1 On-site structures and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> 1 <br /> 20. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at the northeast corner of the intersection between East Taylor Street and South <br /> Wilson Way Frontage Road, in the south central portion of the City of Stockton, San Joaquin <br /> ' County,California,it is situated in an area of mixed commercial,light industrial and residential use <br /> The site is currently occupied by tenants who live onsite and are involved in rebuilding vehicles and <br /> recycling <br /> 2 1 ' REGIONAL GEOLOGIC/HYDROGEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> ' The site is situated within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of California, a large, elongate <br /> northwest tending, asymmetric structural trough The Great Valley Province has been filled with <br /> ' thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to recent, creating a nearly flat lying <br /> alluvial plain,which extends from the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to the Klamath Mountains <br /> in the north The western and eastern boundaries of this province are comprised of the California <br /> ' Coast Range and the Sierra Nevada, respectively Rocks composing the basement complex of the <br /> province have not been completely defined but are believed to be of metamorphic and igneous <br /> origin The Great Valley Province has been subdivided into two mayor divisions identified as the <br /> ' Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys <br /> ' The Modesto, Riverbank and Turlock Lake Formations and overlying recent alluvium are the <br /> principal sources of domestic ground water in the 13,500-square mile San Joaquin Valley Ground <br /> Water Basin(Basin 5-22) This basin is drained primarilyby the San Joaquin River The actual depth <br /> ' to groundwater at the site is 40 to 45 feet below surface grade(bsg),based on the depth to water from <br /> wells installed onsite The nearest surface water feature in the vicinity of the site is the Mormon <br /> Slough, approximately 1,200 feet south of the site <br /> 1 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
