} G
Advanced EF1VIrNMENrr;I. HEALIN E
GeoEnvironment4je jMcpM 1: 2 0
23 December 2002
AGE Project No. 96-0229
Mr. Nuel Henderson
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
304 East Weber Avenue,Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
Subject: Summary of 03 December 2002 Meeting
TOP FILLING STATION
101 South Wilson Way, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Henderson:
On 03 December 2002, a meeting was held at the office of the San Joaquin Environmental Health
Department to discuss the need for on-site interim groundwater remediation and the need for further
off-site investigation. The following parties participated in the meeting:
• Mr. Nuel Henderson- San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
• Mr.Tim Cuellar,Mr.Robert Marty and Dr. Calvin Lee-Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
The following items were discussed during the 03 December 2002 meeting:
1. A soil and ground water investigation is currently being conducted at the Top Filling
Station. During the September 2002 monitoring event, MTBE was detected from well
M W-6A at concentrations as high as 43,000µg/1.However,concentrations had previously
been detected as high as 440,000 µg/1 from well VW-313.
2. A separate soil and ground water investigation is currently being conducted east of the
Top Filling Station by Ground Zero Analysis(GZA) at the Knowles/Roek Property(102
South Wilson Way. Historically, GZA has reported elevated MTBE concentrations in
their ground water monitoring wells MW-3,MW-4 and MW-14;furthermore,MTBE was
reported during their November 2002 monitoring event at concentrations as high as
210,000 µg/1. GZA has inferred in previous reports that elevated MTBE concentrations
on the Knowles/Roek Property is probably due to migration of the Top Filling Station
MTBE plume.
3. A separate soil and ground water investigation is currently being conducted by Stratus
Environmental Inc. (SEI) at Arco Station No. 5469 (130 South Wilson Way), located
837 Shaw Road,Stockton,California 95215
Telephone(209)467-1006 FA)C(209)467-1118
