As with all contaminated sites within our jurisdiction, we strive to work within the
realm of the responsible party's financial resources to maintain progress with the cleanup and
compliance with the laws that govern these cleanups. In some cases, progress is slow due to lack of
funds but...progress is progress.
Ed and Ken Endich are currently in compliance with the laws that govern their currently operating tanks
as well as those associated with their cleanup. They are currently eligible to receive reimbursement
through the State of California Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund Program for all eligible costs
associated with their cleanup.
Therefore, based on the above, it is very unlikely that the cleanup activities at the site will be the
deciding factor in putting these honorable men out of business. This agency respects their lifelong
work, acknowledges their contribution to this community, and will help to preserve their way of life to
the best extent possible.
If you have any questions or wish more information about our program please call Linda Turkatte at
(209) 469-3441.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Lindurkatte, Senior REHS Diane iin"son `HS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
LT
c: Donna Heran, Director PHS/EHD
A nivision of San Joaquin Counts Health Care Services
