In addition, the impact of potential groundwater degradation at your site to neighboring
landowners is currently an issue. This potential impact also warrants a higher priority ranking.
Therefore, this letter shall serve as a directive to you to begin the required corrective action investigation
pursuant to the California Health and Safety Code, Chapter 6.75, Section 25298(c)(4) and the California
Code of Regulations, Title 23, Chapter 16, Section 2721 et seq.
To begin an investigation at your site, you must compile and submit a workplan to investigate the full
lateral and vertical extent of the documented soil contamination at both former underground storage tank
pits. A list of contractors is enclosed for your information. Please submit this workplan to PHS/EHD by
August 1, 1994.
If you have any questions or wish to discuss this letter in more detail, please contact Linda Turkatte at
(209) 468-3441.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
r1J✓V1xv Vt
inMdaatte, Senior REHS Diane "inson, HS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
LT
Enc.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
