Wilson Way Site Code 1294
Stockton, California
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has received and
reviewed Revision to Additional Site Assessment Work Plan (AWP-revised)
dated 23 May 2006, prepared by Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) on
your behalf. The AWP-revised was prepared in response to an EHD comment
letter dated 28 April 2006 and EHD directives issued by letters dated 29 June
2005 and 31 August 2005 to complete the lateral characterization and delineation
of the dissolved contaminant plume.
The AWP-revised provides a site plan more reflective of the lanes of Wilson Way
where AGE proposes to advance four cone penetration test (CPT) borings to
target depths of 125 feet below surface grade (bsg) in the center turn lane. The
boring were proposed to identify permeable strata and collect discreet
groundwater samples for laboratory analysis to continue the lateral assessment
of impacted groundwater in potential migration pathways at various depths. In
addition, AGE has proposed two additional CPT borings, one to be advanced in
the former northern underground storage tank (UST) area and one in the
southern UST area to assess for the vertical extent of impacted groundwater.
AGE has justified not advancing an additional down-gradient CPT boring
recommended by EHD at this time.
EHD approves the 15 November 2005 work plan as amended by the
addendums. Please implement this approved work plan within 60 days of the
date of this letter. Submit a well permit application with the required $89.00 permit
fee and $297.00 inspection fee ($386.00 total) to EHD. Provide EHD with a
minimum 48-hour notice prior to initiating any field work.
