Feasibility Studies and Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan • TOP FILLING STATION 101 South Wilson Way, Stockton, California ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION ' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.(AGE)has prepared this work plan for installation of one ground water extraction well,one soil vapor extraction(S VE)well,one in-situ air sparge(IAS)well and six ground water monitoring wells at 101 South Wilson Way,Stockton,California(the site).Following ' well installations, AGE will perform feasibility pilot studies for soil and ground water corrective action including performance of a 24-hour ground water aquifer pumping test,performance of an 8-hour SVE pilot test, performance of a 48-hour IAS pilot test and performance of an 8-hour ' combined S VE/IAS pilot test. The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. 1 The proposed scope of work is in accordance with a letter directive from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD), dated 17 January 2002 (Appendix A). As part of a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for the site, performance of pilot tests are necessary to evaluate ' potential remediation options for soil and ground water at the site.Upon completion ofthe feasibility studies, a Problem Assessment Report (PAR) and a revised Remedial Action Plan (RAP) will be prepared. ' • This work plan is prepared in accordance with California Regional Water Quality Control Board- ' Central Valley Region (RWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites. ' 2.0. BACKGROUND ' The site is located at 101 South Wilson Way, on the southwest corner of the intersection of Wilson Way and Market Street. The site is located in an area of low topographic relief at an elevation between 15 and 20 feet above mean sea level in the City of Stockton, San Joaquin ' County, California. The site is within the southeast quarter of Section 20, Township 1 North, Range 6 East,Mount Diablo Base and Meridian(Stockton West Quadrangle,7.5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1968, photo revised 1987). 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION ' The Top Filling Station was a full service gasoline dispensing facility circa 1926 to 1998. One 550-gallon UST and two 4,000-gallon USTs,dispensers and product piping were removed from the east section of the site in September 1998.It is AGE's understanding that two USTs were previously removed from the southeast section of the site in December 1988.
