• 11 March 2002 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 95-0130 <br /> ' Page 6 of 13 <br /> including: a 24-hour ground water extraction pilot test,an 8-hour SVE pilot test,a 48-hour IAS <br /> pilot test and an 8-hour combined S VEDAS pilot test. <br /> The scope of work will consist of the following tasks: <br /> • Permitting, planning and pre-field work activities; <br /> ' 0 Drilling and well installation; <br /> • Performance of a 24-hour ground water aquifer pumping test; <br /> ' Performance of an 8-hour SVE pilot test; <br /> • Performance of a 48-hour 1AS pilot test; <br /> • Performance of an 8-hour SVE/IAS pilot test; and <br /> • Preparation of a PAR and a revised RAP. <br /> • 3.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be submitted to the SJCEHD.As required by SJCEHD <br /> permitting,a health and safety plan will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and <br /> Health GuidanceManualforHazardous Waste Site Activities(National Institute for Occupational <br /> Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection <br /> ' Agency, 1985). Prior to drilling activities, each proposed drilling location will be clearly <br /> marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert. <br /> 3.2. WELL INSTALLATION <br /> ' Based on soil and ground water data collected during the investigation of petroleum- <br /> hydrocarbon impact, AGE proposes installation of nine wells in the following areas: <br /> ' One 6-inch diameter ground water extraction well (EW-1) located approximately 5 to <br /> 15 feet east of soil vapor extraction well VW-3 and screened between 35 and 55 feet <br /> bsg; <br /> • One 4-inch diameter SVE well(VW-4) located approximately 15 to 25 feet southwest <br /> of VW-3 and screened between 10 and 40 feet bsg; <br /> • One 2-inch diameter IAS well (AW-1) located approximately 5 to 15 feet northeast of <br /> • soil vapor extraction well VW-2 and screened between 50 and 55 feet bsg; <br /> • One 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring well (MW-8) located approximately 10 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
