PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment permits will be submitted to the SJCEHD.As required by SJCEHD
permitting,a health and safety plan will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and
Health GuidanceManualforHazardous Waste Site Activities(National Institute for Occupational
Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection
' Agency, 1985). Prior to drilling activities, each proposed drilling location will be clearly
marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert.
3.2. WELL INSTALLATION
' Based on soil and ground water data collected during the investigation of petroleum-
hydrocarbon impact, AGE proposes installation of nine wells in the following areas:
' One 6-inch diameter ground water extraction well (EW-1) located approximately 5 to
15 feet east of soil vapor extraction well VW-3 and screened between 35 and 55 feet
bsg;
• One 4-inch diameter SVE well(VW-4) located approximately 15 to 25 feet southwest
of VW-3 and screened between 10 and 40 feet bsg;
• One 2-inch diameter IAS well (AW-1) located approximately 5 to 15 feet northeast of
• soil vapor extraction well VW-2 and screened between 50 and 55 feet bsg;
• One 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring well (MW-8) located approximately 10
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
