, M <br /> 15 November 2005 <br /> AGE-NC Protect No 95-0130 <br /> Page 7 of 10 <br /> 3 1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> A site assessment boring permit will be obtained from the EHD for all off-site CPT boring locations <br /> and encroachment permits will be obtained from the City of Stockton Public Work Department An <br /> update to the health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National <br /> Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S <br /> Environmental Protection Agency, 1985) Prior to mobilization, each boring location area will be <br /> clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert <br /> 3 2 CPT DRILLING AND SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> Utilizing a 25-ton truck-mounted CPT drill rig equipped with 13/a-inch diameter hollow-stem rods, <br /> AGE proposes to advance three CPT soil borings to help define the lateral extent of <br /> petroleum-impacted ground water(i a MTBE) AGE proposes to advance each CPT soil borings to <br /> depths of approximately 125 feet below surface grade (bsg) to fully assess contaminant impact to <br /> shallow and deeper zone ground water <br /> The soil borings will be advanced at the following locations (Figure 2) <br /> • CPT boring no 4 (CPT-4) will be located in the center northbound land of Wilson Way, <br /> approximately 15-25 feet south of the Market Street-Wilson Way intersection and <br /> approximately 40-50 feet east of MW-3 <br /> • CPT boring no 5 (CPT-5) will be located in the center northbound land of Wilson Way, <br /> approximately 40-50 feet east of Top Filling Station well MW-6 <br /> • CPT boring no 6 (CPT-6) will be located in the center northbound land of Wilson Way, <br /> approximately 45-55 feet east-southeast of MW-2 <br /> • CPT boring no 7 (CPT-7) will be located in the center northbound land of Wilson Way, <br /> approximately 55-65 feet southeast of MW-4 <br /> A section on of the center northbound 1 ane of South Wilson Way will be closed dun n <br /> gall drilling <br /> activities, efforts will be made to minimize the impacts on the roadway traffic and to ensure work- <br /> site safety <br /> Each of the proposed CPT locations will consist of multiple 13/4-inch boreholes The first CPT boring <br /> at each location will be utilized for cone penetrometer testing, the CPT will acquire a continuous <br /> lithologic record to interpret the stratigraphic and hydrogeologic units Based on interpreted <br /> Advanced GeoEnvlronmental,Inc <br />
