' 20 March 2006
• AGE-NC Project No 95-0130
• Analytical results of SVE inlet vapor concentrations ranged between 600µg/l and 1,900µg11,
' the average SVE inlet vapor concentration was approximately 1,230 µg11
• An overall decline in hydrocarbon vapor concentrations was evident between the third
' quarter and the fourth quarter 2005 monitoring events, a plot of the influent TPH-g
concentrations versus time is included in Appendix G
' • The average SVE inlet flow rate was approximately 100 cubic feet per minute, the average
differential pressure measurements were recorded at 3 60 inches of water (Table 6)
• The volume of hydrocarbons extracted by the SVE system was calculated to be
approximately 119 gallons(equivalent to 744 pounds)of petroleum hydrocarbons(Appendix
1) between the 07 September and the 07 December 2005 monitoring periods (Table 7)
' • Since initiation of the SVE system in August 2004, the total volume of petroleum
hydrocarbons extracted is estimated to be approximately 2,710 gallons (Table 7), while the
total mass is estimated at approximately 16,942 pounds of extracted petroleum hydrocarbons
The results of pump and treat ground water remediation between 07 September and 06 December
10
2005 are as follows
• Between 07 September and 06 December 2005, approximately 174,065 gallons of
' hydrocarbon-impacted ground water were extracted from wells EW-1, EW-2, VW-1C,
VW-2A and VW-3A (Table 9)
• Dissolved TPH-g was detected from grab samples collected at the influent end of the
treatment system at concentrations as high as 30,000 µg/l, benzene concentrations as high
as 5,000 µg/1 and MTBE concentrations as high as 2,400 µg/1 Laboratory analysis of grab
water samples collected from the P&T effluent did not detect any constituents of concern
' during the third quarter 2005 (Table )
• Between 07 September and 06 December 2005, an estimated 36 pounds of petroleum
' hydrocarbons were extracted from ground water (Table 9)
• A decreasing or increasing trend of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons(TPH/BTEX) was not
evident for P&T influent concentrations during the 4`h Quarter 2005,however,a rapid decline
in MTBE concentrations was evident between the November and December 2005 sampling
events A plot of the influent TPH-g concentrations versus time is included in Appendix L
' • Since initiation of the P&T system in November 2004, the total volume of petroleum
hydrocarbon-impacted water extracted is estimated to be approximately 694,365 gallons
(Table 7), the mass of petroleum hydrocarbons removed from the above total volume of
694,365 gallons is estimated at approximately 207 pounds of extracted petroleum
hydrocarbons
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
