' 19 January 2004 <br /> • AGE-NC Pioject No 95-0130 <br />' Page 5 of 6 <br /> • The lateral and vertical extent of the dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon plume is not known <br />' towai d the not thwest, north, northeast, east and southeast of the ai ea bound by wells MW-1 <br /> through MW-7 (Figures 5 through 8) <br /> 5.0 RECOMMENDATIONS <br />' Based upon the results of the third quarter 2003 investigation, AGE recommends <br />' • Continued quarterly ground water monitoring of wells VW-1 (Band C), VW-2A, VW-3A, <br /> MW-6 (A-E) and MW-7 (A-E) The fourth quarter 2003 ground water monitoring event has <br />' already been performed on 10 November 2003, a first quarter 2004 ground water monitoring <br /> event is tentatively scheduled for 09 February 2004 <br /> • Conduct future ground water monitoring events concurrently with the Knowles/Rock <br />' Property site (102 South Wilson Way) and the Arco AM/PM site (130 South Wilson Way), <br /> • Continued quarter ly depth-to-water measurements in all monitor ing wells at the site, but <br />�• reduced 1-11 ound water sampling frequency from a quarterly to a semi-annual program, AGE <br /> believes that contunued quarterly ground water sampling from these wells at this stage of the <br /> investigation is not cost effective and will not provide enough useful information to <br /> supplement the ongoing investigation Semi-annual sampling events should be adequate to <br /> monitor ground water impact at these wells and should be re-evaluated on a semi-annual <br /> basis <br /> An interim remediation work plan was submitted by AGE to the SJCEHD on 21 May2003,the work <br /> plan was approved by the SJCEHD on 10 June 2003 In accordance with the above work plan, AGE <br /> obtained a permit from the City of Stockton Public Works for discharge of Top Filling Station <br /> treated ground water to the sanitary sewer system, and a permit from the San Joaquin County Air <br /> Pollution Control District (APCD) to discharge air emissions (Appendix C) <br /> To date, the ground water remediation equipment has been installed at the site AGE is currently in <br />' the process of installing a new electrical service,through Pacific Gas and Electric(PG&E) AGE has <br /> applied for a City of Stockton building permit (i e electrical &plumbing) before completion of all <br /> underground trenching and piping AGE anticipates start-up of the Interim remediation system by <br /> March 2004 <br /> I <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmen[ai,Inc <br /> I <br />
