1
01 October 2004
AGE-NC Project No 95-0130
' The lateral and vertical extent of the dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon plume is not known
toward the northwest, north, northeast, east and southeast of the area bound by wells MW-1
through MW-7 (Figures 5 through S)
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based upon the results of the first quarter 2004 investigation, AGE
recommends
' • Continued quarterly ground water monitoring of wells VW-1 (B and C), VW-2A, VW-3A,
MW-6(A-E)and MW-7(A-E) The second quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring event was
already performed on 12 May 2004, a third quarter 2004 ground water monrtonng event is
tentatively scheduled for September 2004
• Conduct future ground water monitoring events concurrently with the Knowles/Roek
Property site (102 South Wilson Way) and the Arco AM/PM site (130 South Wilson Way),
* Continued quarterly depth-to-water measurements in all monitoring wells at the site, but
reduced ground water sampling frequency from a quarterly to a semi-annual program,AGE
believes that continued quarterly ground water sampling from these wells at this stage of the
investigation is not cost effective and will not provide enough useful information to
supplement the ongoing investigation Semi-annual sampling events should be adequate to
monitor ground water impact at these wells and should be re-evaluated on a semi-annual
basis
6.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of
' available data points (ground water samples), and subsurface conditions may vary away from these
data points No other warranty, expressed or implied,is made as to the professional interpretations,
opinions and recommendations contained in this report
IAdvanced GeoE nvi ronmenta 1,Inc
