SECOR International Incorporated September 25, 2002 Project 77CH 43580 00 0203 nO Maya Mr Jeffery Wong San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division SEP 2 7 2002 304 East Weber Street, 3rd Floor ENVIRONMENT HEALTH Stockton, California 95202 PERMIT/SE=RVICES Re Site Assessment Report Chevron Station 9-9840 4344 Waterloo Road Stockton, California Dear Mr Wong SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR), on behalf of Chevron Products Company (Chevron), has prepared this report to document the results of assessment activities at the above-referenced site The site assessment activities consisted of the drilling and iinstallation of three onsite and one offsite groundwater monitoring wells The purpose of this assessment was to further delineate the lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater beneath the site SITE BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS The site is an operating Chevron service station located at 4344 Waterloo Road, near Highway 99 in Stockton, California (Figure 1) Current station features include three underground storage tanks (USTs) in a common excavation, a station building, six product dispensers under a common canopy, and a car wash (Figure 2) The site is located in a light commercial area of Stockton in a relatively flat lying area A summary of previous investigations pertinent to the assessment is included in Attachment A ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES AND FINDINGS On April 10 through 12, 2002, a SECOR representative supervised Watermark Drilling Incorporated (Watermark) of Woodland, California, as they advanced four soil borings to approximately 75 feet below ground surface (bgs) using 8-inch hollow stem augers at the locations shown on Figure 2 Soil samples were collected at five-foot intervals for Iogging and/or chemical analysis Upon completion of drilling, a 2-inch diameter 3017 Kilgore Road, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916 861 0400 916 861 0430 Fa.% www secor com
