i <br /> Former Beacon Station No 419 February 17, 1999 <br /> iStockton California _ _ Additional Subsurface Investisation <br /> on Monitoring Well Data Sheets (Appendix D) and summarized in Table 2 Groundwater <br /> samples were contained in cooled storage for transport to the laboratory for the requested <br /> analyses <br /> i <br /> Wellhead Elevation Survey and Groundwater Flow Direction <br /> On November 11 and December 2, 1998, Horizon personnel surveyed the newly installed <br /> wells and the existing well network relative to the original surveys (AMvD, 1994) Relative <br /> elevations above mean sea level (msl) were calculated for the north side of the PVC well <br /> casing for each well (Appendix E) The surveyed wellhead elevations are included with the <br /> well numbers on Table 2, along with the groundwater data collected from the new wells <br /> during the sampling events in September and December 1998 Based on the groundwater <br /> data collected from wells MW 7, MW 8, and MW-9, the groundwater flow direction was <br />' estimated to be toward the southwest at a magnitude of 0 003 on September 30, 1998 <br /> (Figure 2) <br />' LABORATORY METHODS AND RESULTS <br />' Soil Samples <br /> Soil samples collected from borings SB-6, SB-7, SB-9, MW-7 through MW-10, and from <br />' the stockpiled drill cuttings were submitted under chain-of-custody (COC) to Kiff Analytical <br /> (Kiff), a State-certified laboratory in Davis, California (Certificate No 2236) Selected soil <br /> samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), the gasoline <br /> constituents benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) by Environmental <br />' Protection Agency (EPA) Methods 8015/8020, and the seven oxygenated fuel additive <br /> compounds methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPS), ethyl tertiary <br />' butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), <br />' methanol, and ethanol by modified EPA Method 8260 The samples collected from the <br /> stockpiled drill cuttings were additionally analyzed for total lead by Method 6010 <br /> 1419-12 rpt 8 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br />
