TANK CLOSURE REPORT—BEACON STATION #419 -4- <br /> 2350 Waterloo Road, Stockton, CA <br /> Ab" Project No 19011 03 <br />' The soil stockpiled on October 22, 1993, was removed from the site on October 25, 1993, by <br /> Ben's Truck and Equipment Company and transported to their facility in Red Bluff, California, <br />' for remediation. Soil from the overexcavation that was stockpiled on site on October 26, 1993, <br /> was removed on October 29, 1993, by MP Environmental and transported to Forward Landfill <br /> in Stockton, California, for disposal <br /> 6.0 DISCUSSION <br /> Approximately 950 cubic yards of soil were excavated at the site in the attempt to completely <br />' remove all petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soils from the property The former tank basin area <br /> was overexcavated to depths ranging from 18 to 30 feet below grade. Analytical results from <br />' soil samples collected from beneath the pump island indicated that overexcavation was not <br /> necessary in this area. <br /> Three soil samples (T1A, T2A, and T3 A) collected from the north end of the former tank basin <br /> at approximately 30 feet below grade (the maximum depth of overexcavation) contained <br /> concentrations of TPHg exceeding 100 mg/kg Concentrations of TPHg were reported to be <br /> below the detection limit in soil samples collected from the southern extent of the UST <br /> excavation at depths ranging from 18 to 22 feet below grade.
