Pacific
Northwest Oil
October 12, 2018
Mr. Robert Lopez
Mr. Cesar Ruvalcaba
Mr.John Alaniz
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept.
Environmental Health Department
1868 E. Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205
RE: Inspection Status
Dear Sirs:
The following is a summary of the status on work completed to date regarding your inspection on
September 12, 2018. We have completed all items on the Hazardous Materials and Aboveground
Petroleum Storage inspections and have made significant progress on the Hazardous Waste inspection
but have not completely finished those items. Please see the actions taken below:
Hazardous Materials
Item#5—The hazardous material inventory has been completely examined and resubmitted into the
CERS website. All items missing from the previous submittal were added. Some material that were
below the reporting threshold were removed. The "hazardous material type"was added to the
materials that had this information missing. Additionally, the new Federal Hazard Categories were
added for all chemicals per the information included in the SDS's.
Item#6—The site map was updated to show the requested items and uploaded into the CERS website.
Aboveground Petroleum Storage
Item#203—The Professional Engineer(P.E.)who wrote the plan indicated that as an environmental
equivalence to inspecting the bottom of the 2,100-gallon diesel tank,we could look for leaks collected at
the bottom of the containment. He indicated that this is especially true due to the fact that the tank is
elevated off on the ground surface and that it is completely contained. We decided to take it a step
further by fabricating a mirror on the end of an extended pole to visually observe the bottom of the
tank. This inspection will occur monthly. Additionally, the P.E. will be notified in the event of a leak
beneath the tank is observed. He will further investigate with a borescope.
