Washington Street, Ripon, California <br /> Fourth Quarter Groundwater Sampling Repo�ro LC rcf,�W F D <br /> November 2004 <br /> N O V 2 9 2004 <br /> NARRATIVE ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> On November 1, 2004 M f Kloberdanz & Associates, in conjunction with GeoAnalytical <br /> Laboratories, Inc , conducted quarterly groundwater monitoring of the Ripona Market site <br /> at 223 W Washington Street, Ripon, California Quarterly monitoring activities <br /> consisted of depth to water measurement, well purging and water characterization, <br /> groundwater sample collection and laboratory analysis on four groundwater-monitoring <br /> wells located at this site <br /> The four groundwater-momtonng wells were monitored for floating product and depth to <br /> groundwater measurements obtained before purging the wells Each well was evacuated <br /> of at least three well volumes by means of a steam-cleaned, stainless steel bladder-type <br /> pump During the purging of the wells, field pH, electrical conductivity, and temperature <br /> measurements were monitored to venfy well stability and to insure that representative <br /> groundwater samples were collected Once well stability was achieved, groundwater <br /> samples were collected Field data sheets are presented in appendix B <br /> The groundwater samples were labeled and placed in an ice chest cooled with blue ice or <br /> crushed ice, logged on a Chain of Custody form, and delivered to GeoAnalytical <br /> Laboratories, Inc , a state certified laboratory, located in Modesto, California The water <br /> samples were analyzed for BTEX, MTBE and the Oxygenated Compounds including <br /> EDB and 1, 2 DCA (EPA Method 826013) and gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> (EPA Method 5030, GCFID) All of the water samples were checked in the laboratory <br /> for dissolved oxygen concentrations by Method SM4500-0 G <br /> SUMMARY FINDINGS <br /> Groundwater was present as an unconfined state at depths of approximately 27 2 to 27 7 <br /> feet below ground surface at the Ripona Market site on November 1, 2004 The <br /> unconfined water table was present approximately 0 5 feet higher than 1n the August 4, <br /> 2004 momtonng event A hydrograph of the groundwater elevations at the Ripona <br /> Market site is presented in Figure 7 <br />
