The nearest down gradient well to the east is slightly over 2000 feet away.
On November 18, 2002 M.J. Kloberdanz & Associates, using a Geoprobe (direct
push technology) provided by V&W Drilling, advanced a soil boring to a depth of
i 60 feet to collect soil and water samples north of the former UST excavation (B-
2). Soil samples were collected every five feet to a depth of 55 feet for geological
interpretation. A 60-foot soil sample was not collected due to refusal at a depth of
59 feet. However, a laboratory groundwater sample was collected between depths
a of 55 and 59 along with a sample from medium grained unconsolidated course
sand at 45 feet in depth. The Geoprobe was relocated adjacent to boring B-2 and
a second attempt to collect at soil sample at 60-feet attempted. The Geoprobe was
unable to penetrate below 38 feet in depth in the second boring. Several soil
samples, collected from boring B-2, were submitted for laboratory analysis due to
the close proximity of this boring to the original release. All soil and groundwater
laboratory samples were reported below detection limits for the compounds
Canalyzed with the exception of 0.5 µg/L of Toluene in the 60-foot water sample.
M
