SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by George Davis to <br /> conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for the property located at <br /> 12448 and 12436 E. Harney Lane, Lodi, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br /> cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br /> been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study were conducted to determine <br /> whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic system, as well as to estimate if the <br /> use of septic systems will impact ground water quality. The study was performed <br /> according to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County <br /> Development code. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> Mr. Davis plans to place three new two-bedroom mobile homes on the Site (Plate 2). <br /> The current owner of the Site is Kenneth Hubbard; Mr. Davis is managing the project. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is composed of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 063-240-25, 4.83 acres in <br /> size. The Site is located at 12448 and 12436 East Harney Lane, Lodi. <br /> A three-bedroom home and a garage are currently located on the Site. A septic system <br /> and domestic well serve the existing home (Plate 3). <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 73 to 74 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat <br /> (Plate 4). <br /> According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned AL- <br /> 5, Limited Agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 5 acres. The San Joaquin County <br /> Community Development Department states that this zoning designation "is intended to <br /> recognize and preserve areas that contain existing concentrations of small-scale <br /> agricultural operations and dwellings." <br /> LOGE 20-20 Page 1 <br />
