SAN J O � � I `II411, Environmental Health Department <br /> C 0 U NT y AMENDED <br /> 9/19/2019 <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> UTILITY TRAILER SALES 1 12608 S HARLAN RD, LATHROP September 17, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following were observed in the used oil tank area: <br /> -One 5 gallon spill bucket for a hose connected to the 500 gallon used oil tank observed with approximately 1-2 <br /> inches of oil accumulating in it. <br /> Note: Operator states that the spill bucket is used if the hose gets clogged,they will release the contents into the <br /> spill bucket to dislodge it. <br /> -One spill bucket for used oil fill for 500 gallon used oil tank observed with approximately 1-2 inches of oil <br /> accumulating in it. <br /> The following were observed in the hazardous waste storage area in the shop: <br /> -Three 5 gallon buckets with used oil observed with no lid or hazardous waste label. <br /> Note: Operator states that the buckets collect used oil from the used metal oil filter crusher machine. <br /> -One yellow 55 gallon container with used coolant observed with coolant accumulating on top of the lid. <br /> -One 5 gallon bucket on top of 55 gallon container with used coolant observed with used coolant inside. <br /> -One used oil pan observed with approximately 3-4 inches of oil still inside found on top of dark blue 55 gallon <br /> container with used oil. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean 5 gallon buckets of used oil, coolant on top of 55 gallon container, used <br /> oil pan. Manage the waste according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste.
