OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers were: -One 30 gallon container with used oil observed with no hazardous waste label. -One 5 gallon container with used oil observed with no hazardous waste label. -One 15 gallon gas caddy with used oil observed with no hazardous waste label. -One oil pan full with used oil observed with no hazardous waste label. -Two 55 gallon containers with waste diesel observed with no hazardous waste label found on the side of the shop. -One 55 gallon container partially filled with waste solids observed with no accumulation start date and no hazardous properties. Operator corrected on site stating the waste solids were generated recently and marked hazardous property as toxic. REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition (contents), accumulation start date CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)within 30 days. This is a minor violation.
