MR. ERIC SUNG 2 21 March 1990 TRACY GROUP PARTNERSHIP We agree with WaterWorks recommendation for verification sampling. The verification sampling is necessary to determine the impacts on water quality from the onsite soil contamination. We request that Tracy Group Properties (TGP) sample the monitoring wells monthly for 3 months. Prior to sampling the monitoring wells, the wells should be surveyed and the static water levels should be measured to the nearest 0.01 foot. From these measurements, the hydraulic gradient determined in order to insure that at least one monitoring well is located downgradient from the soil and ground water contamination. If TGP determines that no monitoring well is downgradient of the contamination, then TGP may ho required to inct_all additional wells to chew that ground water contamination has not migrated offsite. TGP should also sample for tetraethyllead or total organic lead in the soil ; however, a confirming analysis of a soil sample from the same depth outside the area of contamination should be completed. Tracy Group Partnership is required to submit to our office by 17 August 1990 a Technical Report that summarizes all field investigation results and a time schedule and proposal for future work. Once we have reviewed the Technical Report, we can determine if further actions to mitigate ground water contamination will be required.
