STATE OF CALIFORNIA - E ,"-onmental Protoon Agency •
PETE WILSON, Governor
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION
Sacramento,
Rento, Road, Suite A U110 Sacramento, CA 95827-3098
PHONE: (916) 255-3000
FAX: (916) 255-3015
15 June 1994
Mr. Chao Wu
C & L Tracy Group Partnership
6985 Silver Fox Drive
San Jose, CA 95120
C & L ' CY GRC'r PARTNERSHIP, 400 S. TRACY BLVD., TRAC.:Y. SAIN 30t,Qur
COUNTY — -
I have reviewed your 15 March 1994 first quarter sampling report and.your 14 April 1994 letter
requesting that no further work be required by the Board at this site. After a review of the file and
the summary of all ground water sampling events, no further action is required at this time.
In the eight rounds of sampling that have been conducted since 1989 there was only one hit of total
petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-D) at 1.39 ppb in MW 1. The limiting water quality goal
for TPH-D is 100 ppb based on a taste and odor threshold. There also were four hits, one in each
monitoring well, of total vanadium from 0.03 to 0.04 ppb. The limiting water quality goal for
vanadium is 100 ppb based on agricultural water quality goals. All other analytes tested were belo v
the method detection limits. Therefore the Board does not deem the soil contamination at this site to
be a significant threat to water quality at the present time and requires no further action.
This concludes the investigation by the Board. This site now will be referred back to the
Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) as outlined in the 27 June 1991 letter from Mr.
Anthony J. Landis of DTSC to Mr. Eric Sung of Serena Investment Corporation (copy attached).
If you have any questions you may contact me at (916) 255-3054.
RECEIVED
DAVID E.
