The well points <br /> to be replaced are MW-1 and MW-2, as shown on the Site Plan, Figure 1. <br /> Wells will be screened as described in our April 17, 1990 Work Plan and <br /> depicted on Figure 2. Proposed Monitor Wall Completion Diagram. A sand <br /> filter pack will be placed from about 4 inches below to 24 inches above the <br /> top of the well screen. A mininunn, 1-foot thick bentonite pellet seal will <br /> be placed above the sand pack. The bentonite will be hydrated with potable <br /> water. <br /> A 9-sack neat cement grout containing a maximum of 5 percent bentonite will <br /> extend from the bentonite seal to about i foot below ground surfaces (bgs) . <br /> A locking anchor vault will be placed over the well casing and secured into <br /> place with concrete. The ground surface will be graded away front the vault <br /> for drainage. <br /> MONITOR WELL AND EXISTING DRIVE WELL ABANDONMENT <br /> The unusable existing well points (MW-1 and MW-2) will be abandoned after <br /> the replacement wells are installed.
