All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa light is out, replace by the next routine inspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br /> #12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH in the pool is measured at >8.0. The pH should be between 7.2 and 7.8. This was corrected <br />onsite by adding 3 oz of muriatic acid to the spa. Corrected onsite. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #25 Spa Emergency Shut Off Switch <br />OBSERVATIONS: The emergency shut off does not shut off the spa jets. Correct this problem immediately. Spa is closed <br />until the emergency shut off can turn off both pumps. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A clearly labeled emergency shut off switch for both the spa recirculation and jet/aeration systems shall be <br />installed adjacent to the spa pool. (CBC 3138B) <br /> #29 Recirculation System Operation <br />OBSERVATIONS: The recirculation system is off upon arrival. The recirculation system for the spa should be on as long as <br />the pool is available for use, and 2 hours before and after it is open. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Recirculation system shall be in operation whenever the pool is available for use and additional times as <br />needed to maintain clear pool water.
