Fletcher <br /> i a Coordinator-Environmental Affairs <br /> SUBJECT: Ground-Water Monitoring Well and <br /> A t Vapor Extraction Well <br /> 1 Installation Workplan <br /> Former Econo Gas Station <br /> } ) 4325 East Washington Street <br /> Stockton,California <br /> E a Dear Mr.Fletcher: <br /> t 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> ( <br /> t; Du Pont Environmental Remediation Services (DERS) is pleased to present Conoco Inc. with this <br /> workplan for ground-water monitoring well and vapor well installation at the above-referenced site. <br /> Four(4)ground-water monitoring wells are proposed in this workplan to be constructed as part of the <br /> i ground-water monitoring program,and in addition, nineteen (19)vapor extraction wells are proposed <br /> i <br /> in this workplan to be constructed as part of the soil vapor extraction system. <br /> j <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> f } <br /> t : Conaco's former Econo Gas Station is located at 4325 East Washington Street in Stockton,California. <br /> The site is situated at the northeast corner of the intersection of East Washington Street and Sinclair <br /> Avenue as shown on the Location Map, Figure 1. The station is currently closed and is enclosed y <br /> x fencing on all four sides of the property. Fuel pumps,underground fuel tanks, and the related piping <br /> system have been removed from the site. The site lies at an elevation of approximately 27 feet above <br /> =» mean sea level on terrain that slopes very gently to the west. The Site Plan, Figure 2, shows the <br /> locations of structures on and near the site as well as the locations of existing ground-water monitoring <br /> and recovery wells at the site. <br /> Better Things For Better Living <br /> s <br />
