READ THE JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS <br /> PROCEDURES FOR EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION: <br /> Drilling equipment will be decontaminated prior to initial use, between boring locations, and at the <br /> completion of drilling activities. The following items must be decontaminated: <br /> Back of drilling rig <br /> Auger flights <br /> Down-hole equipment <br /> Well casing and screen <br /> A manual scrubbing to remove foreign material,followed by a thorough steam cleaning will be used for <br /> decontamination of the above items. Drilling equipment,well screens, and well casings will be stored <br /> in a contaminant-free location above the ground on wooden supports after decontamination, and will <br /> be covered with plastic until use. <br /> PROCEDURES FOR SAMPLING EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION: T <br /> All nondisposable equipment used for the collection, preparation, preservation, and storage of the <br /> r. <br /> environmental samples must be cleaned prior to use and after each subsequent use. Unless the <br /> equipment and materials being used are disposable or of sufficient number so as not to be reused <br /> during any one sampling period,decontamination will have to be performed in the field.
