Quarterly Monitoring Report
January - March, 1993
Former Econo Gas Station
4325 East Washington Street
Stockton, California
Dear Ms Thompson.
This report presents the status of the soil remediation system located at Conoco Inc 's
(Conoco) former Econo Gas Station, 4325 East Washington Street, Stockton, California
' between December 30, 1992 and March 30, 1993. A Du Pont Environmental
Remediation Services (DERS) technician visited the site on a weekly basis. Typical
' activities that were performed during a visit included equipment inspection, instrument
calibration, influent and effluent soil vent gas concentration measurements, and control
system adjustments A hand-held organic vapor analyzer (OVA) was used by the
' technician to measure the vent gas hydrocarbon concentrations. Monthly influent soil
vent gas samples were collected for laboratory analyses. DERS maintained a site visit
' sign-in log Laboratory results and chain-of-custody forms are attached in Appendix A.
The soil remediation system consists of a series of vapor wells, a vacuum blower, and
' a thermal incinerator. The removal rate of the soil remediation system is approximately
105 standard cubic feet per minute The operating efficiency tactual operating time
versus the total time in the reporting period) of the system was 79 percent The system
was shut down several times during this reporting period for implementation of our vapor
optimization plan and regular maintenance activities.
I
Better Things For Better Living
0511 18
