This Work Plan is for a soil and groundwater investigation to further determine the vertical and lateral
extent of the groundwater contamination. Two offsite, down gradient monitoring wells will be installed and
soil groundwater samples will be analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations.
Site Description
The site is located on the northwest corner of Waterloo Road and Auto Avenue, (Figure 1). The service
station is no longer operating. However, a retail convenience store currently occupies the site. Depth to
groundwater recently measured at the site ranges from approximately 51 to 55 feet below surface grade
(bsg). Groundwater flow direction generally ranges from north to northwest across the site.
Proposed Scope of Work
The proposed scope of work is to install two nested monitoring wells: MW-18 will be screened across the
water table, and MW-18D will be screened across the lower water bearing unit that MW-7 is screened in
(Figure 2).The purpose of the wells is to evaluate the extent of residual petroleum hydrocarbons, if any, in
the soil and groundwater in a down gradient, off site location from the vicinity of the former underground
gasoline storage tanks and fuel dispensers. All assessment activities will be performed under the direction
of a California Registered Geologist.
A member of.
%k. At
