SITE SAFETY AND HEALTH PLAN <br /> BC - E-Z SERVE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PROGRAM <br /> E-Z SERVE SERVICE STATION SITES <br /> PROJECT SUMMARY <br /> This site safety and health plan has been prepared by Brown and Caldwell (BC) for the BC-E-Z <br /> Serve Northern California Program winch consists of 14 active E-Z Serve service stations. The <br /> E-Z Serve service stations are represented by Mr. Brian Cobb. Mr. Tom Wheeler of BC serves <br /> as the Program Manager. BC will be on-site to perform a variety of tasks, which are outlined <br /> in the Work Plan. Site specific tasks are managed in BC by assigned Project Managers. <br /> KEY PERSONNEL AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> A list of the program sites is included in Appendix A. Ms. Pamela Murcell, Certified Industrial <br /> Hygienist (CIH), is the health and safety director (HSD). BC personnel meeting the additional <br /> training requirements, will be designated for each site, to perform site duties and to function as_ <br /> the site safety officer (SSO). The project field staff have completed 40 hours of comprehensive <br /> health and safety training which meets the requirements of Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations <br /> Part 1910.120 (29 CFR 1910.120). The SSO has the authority to monitor and correct health and <br /> safety problems as noticed on site. <br /> Program Manager/Coordinator Responsibilities <br /> Mr. Tom Wheeler is the program manager. The program manager is responsible for the direct <br /> communication between BC and E-Z Serve. Ms. Lynnette Gerbert is the program coordinator <br /> and is responsible for program administration and distributing relevant E-Z Serve information <br /> to BC project staff. <br /> Project Manager Responsibilities <br /> The (PM) is responsible for generating, organizing, and compiling the SSHP which describes <br /> all planned field activities and potential hazards that may be encountered at the site. The PM <br /> is also responsible for assuring that adequate training and safety briefings for the project are- <br /> provided to the project team. The PM will provide a copy of this SSHP to each member of the- <br /> project field team. <br /> HSD Responsibilities <br /> The HSD is responsible for developing and coordinating the Brown and Caldwell (BC) health__ <br /> and safety program. For specific projects, the HSD is responsible for reviewing and approving- <br /> the SSHP for accuracy and incorporating new information or guidelines which aid the PM and_ <br /> SSO in further definition and control of the potential health and safety hazards associated with_ <br /> the project. <br />
