1 equipment capable of sparging approximately 10-20 scfm per air sparge well at a minimum pressure of <br />approximately 15 psig is recommended <br />9 3 Aquifer Pump Test Findings and Recommendations <br />The aquifer test indicates that combining groundwater extraction with vapor extraction could extend the <br />capabilities of a vapor extraction system A system capable of extracting hydrocarbon impacted <br />groundwater could expose soils that are occluded by existing groundwater and thus extend the capabilities <br />of a vapor extraction system ATC believes that a remedial system utilizing a pneumatic powered <br />groundwater extraction system coupled with a vapor extraction and air sparge system could effectively <br />remediate on-site hydrocarbon impacted soil and groundwater, and possibly control dissolved phase <br />hydrocarbon plume migration <br />10 0 SCOPE OF WORK <br />' This Corrective Action Plan (CAP) has been prepared to implement the installation and operation of a soil <br />and groundwater remediation system at the site The scope of work outlined in this CAP will be <br />performed in general accordance with current San Joaquin County guidelines, State of California, Water <br />' kv- i aiceN i i Z`iV1 113oaiu dallk ('Lka11UjP 1"Xt' <br />accordance with Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 280 63, amended July 1, 1994 <br />The scope of work includes soil and groundwater remediation system engineering design, preparation of <br />a soil and groundwater remediation system installation bid package, remediation system installation, <br />remediation system startup and operation and maintenance for one year Each part is described below <br />10.1 Remediation System Engineering Design and Bid Package <br />An engineering design for a remediation system will be prepared based on soil conditions, groundwater <br />conditions, site characterization activities, results of the vapor extraction, air sparge, and aquifer pump <br />feasibility tests, and remediation experience The remediation system engineering design will include <br />engineering drawings and specifications for installation of the system The remediation system design <br />will be used as part of the bid package for the installation of the remediation system <br />A remediation system bid package will be prepared which will include the remediation system <br />engineering plans and specifications, project schedule, list of materials to be furnished, required permits, <br />and instructions to bidders A pre-bid meeting will be conducted at the site with the prospective bidders <br />10 2 Remediation System Installation <br />1021 Health and Safety Plan <br />ATC has established a Safety and Health Program (SHP) to ensure the personal health and safety of ATC <br />employees, as applicable The SHP defines safety practices and procedures that will be instituted in all <br />EZ 100966 CAP ATC Associates Inc <br />S 1EZ Serve1EZ 1009661Reports1100966CAP ATC Project No 43 25827 0026 <br />19 <br />
