This quarterly work package includes a site
data summary table, site groundwater gradient map (FIGURE 1), laboratory analyses of those
" samples collected by ASA, monitoring well sampling record, and sampling and purging protocol
(ATTACHED). Our field and laboratory analyses were conducted in accordance with approved
ASTM and EPA standards.
Three new wells were installed by HET, Inc. at the site since the last quarterly report. That '
company sampled the new wells on December 9, 1993,and resurveyed the old and t.Eie new wells
to a common elevation datum. Associated Soils, Analysis, Inc. sampled the old wells on
December 21. The gathering of all the new field data has resulted in delays in th'e production
of this report (HET Inc. may have filed a separate report on the results of their sampling). The
site wells contained no measurable free product, and no odors were reported orifi the purging
record. Petroleum constituents were detected in each of the monitoring well samples except for
MW-6, generally at similar levels as measured in the third quarter of 1993.
Groundwater depths at the site have decreased relative to last quarter, indicating that the
groundwater table is higher by about half a foot. A site groundwater gradient was determined
by calculating the groundwater elevation in each well (SUMMARY TABLE) and contouring the
elevation data (FIGURE 1). The site groundwater gradient currently flows priniarily toward
the south at a magnitude varying from .0017 ft/ft .to the Southwest to .00043 ft/ft to the
Southeast.
If you have any questions about these results, please contact our office.
1
Sincerely, df rah
ASSOCIATED SOILS ANALYSIS,INC.
