Beacon Cardlock Station Number 610 SSB 42-1001-01 <br /> 3300 Waterloo Road Page 3 <br /> Stockton, California <br /> 2.0 HAZARD EVALUATION <br /> This Health and Safety Plan addresses specific on-site work activities related to the collecting of samples <br />' and data from the project site While the basic Work and Health & Safety Plans are by now very <br /> familiar to SSB Environmental Consultants, Inc., field crews, work on certain sites, particularly in <br /> Category A, B, and C protective equipment, involve exposure potentials to various contaminants and <br /> possibly to contaminants at unpredictable levels <br />' Based on the limited historical and technical data available, this plan covers anticipated activities and <br /> hazards, and makes provision for modification or amendment as health-related data is obtained during <br /> I this investigation. This plan will be amended with site-specific hazards identified as posing a potential <br /> health hazard for workers For select sites, the Safety Officer will conduct a preliminary survey <br /> involving air and bulk solid sample analysis, and amend the Health and Safety Plan as needed <br /> As analytical data become available, the information will be evaluated by a Health and Safety Task <br /> Leader Appropriate action in the form of Work/Health and Safety Plan Modifications will be initiated <br /> by the Safety Officer or the Health and Safety Task Leader <br /> The anticipated activities of this investigation will include <br /> • The advancement of soil borings using hollow stem auger <br /> • Direct reading hydrocarbon monitoring (PID) of well head, and ambient concentrations during <br /> drilling activities <br /> • Collection of samples for chemical analysis <br /> • Sample preparation packaging and shipment of samples for chemical analysis <br /> • Analysis of selected samples by subcontracted laboratories (not covered under this plan) <br /> SSB ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS, INC <br />
