• <br />' WORK PLAN <br /> SUBSURFACE ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTIGATION <br /> BEACON CARDLOCK STATION NUMBER 610 <br /> 3300 WATERLOO ROAD <br />' STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This Work Plan describes the work necessary to further evaluate the presence of hydrocarbon <br /> constituents in the soil and ground water beneath Beacon Cardlock Station Number 610 in <br /> Stockton, California The proposed work includes 1) drilling three approximately 90 foot soil <br /> borings at the site, 2) collecting soil samples from the borings for field evaluation and laboratory <br /> analysis, 3) constructing a 4 inch diameter ground-water monitoring well in each boring, <br /> 4) developing, purging, and collecting water samples from the wells, 5) analyzing selected soil <br /> samples obtained from the borings for gasoline constituents benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total <br /> xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons using a gasoline standard (TPHg), 6) analyzing <br /> the water samples collected from the monitoring wells for BTEX and TPHg, and 7) preparing a <br /> Preliminary Report (PR)documenting field methodologies and presenting findings, conclusions,and <br /> recommendations The proposed work will be performed by SSB Environmental Consultants, Inc <br /> I (SSB), under the supervision of a registered geologist <br /> ' 2.0 BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> Pertinent information required to obtain an understanding of the project is presented in the <br /> I <br /> following sections <br /> 2.1 Site Location <br /> The subject Beacon service station is located at 3300 Waterloo Road in Stockton California The <br /> site location is shown on the Vicinity Map presented as Plate I The approximate locations of the <br /> station facilities are shown on the Site Plan presented as Plate 2 <br />
