Storing Hazardous Waste Safely <br /> Waste is processed and stored in the Hazardous Waste <br /> Accumulation Area in the back room. Waste is scanned, <br /> placed in heavy self-sealing plastic bags, and stored by <br /> waste category in separate totes. This helps prevent <br /> incompatible chemicals from mixing together. Our vendor _ <br /> picks-up waste periodically and transports it to a disposal Y' " <br /> facility. <br /> The hazardous waste categories and their abbreviations are µ <br /> listed below.
