The most recent Hazardous Waste Storage Weekly Checklist <br /> observed was dated June 18, 2018.Steve Bohnak, District Manager, confirmed that June 18th was when the last <br /> weekly inspection was completed.The Hazardous Waste Storage Weekly Checklist completed before June 18th was <br /> dated 5/18/19. (IMG 7928-9) <br /> Hazardous waste container storage and transfer areas shall be inspected weekly for leaking containers and for <br /> deterioration of containers and the containment system Caused by corrosion and other factors. <br /> Immediately begin conducting the necessary weekly inspections for all hazardous waste containers at this facility. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 405 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to manage incompatible wastes in containers properly. <br /> 1.The waste items listed below were found bagged and inside the same Oxidizer HW tote(IMG 7830-41): <br /> -A bottle of Top Job Bleach, an oxidizer, according to the Oxidizer HW tote label. <br /> -LA Colors Lash Adhesive, and two bottles of flammable nail polish. <br /> Steve Bohnak, District Manager, stated that he believed many adhesives or glues were flammable. Tenisha Arbet, <br /> Store Manager, pointed to a photo of an adhesive called Goop on the PSC guidance document for Flammable HW. <br /> Also, Super Glue was found in a Flammable HW tote(IMG 7815-7818). <br /> 2. The waste items listed below were found bagged and inside the same Universal Waste tote(IMG 7909-22): <br /> -An aerosol can of DG Home Foaming Carpet Cleaner.According to the PSC HW guidance documents aerosols <br /> are to be placed in a Flammable HW tote. <br /> -A spray bottle of cleaner containing bleach.According to the PSC HW guidance documents, items containing <br /> bleach are to be placed in an Oxidizer HW tote. <br /> -A container of Top Job bleach. <br /> -A bag containing an aerosol can of Hot Shot Ant&Roach Killer.According to the PSC HW guidance documents <br /> aerosols are to be placed in a Flammable HW tote. <br /> Incompatible wastes shall not be placed in the same container, or in an unwashed container that previously held an <br /> incompatible waste or material.
