Waterloo Road Stockton, CA 95215 Dear Ms . Lagorio : It is my understanding based on my telephone conversation with you on 3-9-98 that Mary Meays no longer works for your department . She has been our contact person for our clean-up site for many years . As I indicated to you, we have been essentially in a ` holding position for over a year now awaiting direction from Ms . Meays . We are continuing to do quarterly monitorings , but would like to move forward with the CAP which was submitted with final revisions on September 5 , 1997 . Initially, the CAP was submitted on April 28, 1995 but following disagreements between San Joaquin County and the USTCF on how to proceed, additional monitoring wells were ordered. A revised CAP was then submitted on February 18 , 1997 , to which Ms . Meays responded on June 25 , 1997 requesting a few additional items . These were provided by the contractor , Advanced GeoEnviromental , Inc. , on September 5 , 1997 . Despite repeated phone requests of Ms . Meays , no response has been forthcoming. You indicated that you are unable to provide us with another staff person to oversee our site at this time. Appparently you are in the process of training several new staff persons and do not expect to have someone available for at least 3 months . We will continue quarterly monitorings until we hear from your department . We are eager to complete the remediation phase of this clean-up and move our attention on to other projects .
