Meat's :
Several weeks 'ago our attorney., Michael Brady,
discussed with you our .need to -continue routine
maintanence of our septic tanks by having some of them
pumped to remove the accumulatiaii of- solids in the
tanks. Our concern was what if any. te.sti:ng or
di.sclosures -need- be made. about''the. -HVOC' s which had
been in the water until January of last year prior to
engaging a septic tank company to pump a few of the
i tanks . My understanding from Mr. Brady is that you
told him that your department does not require any
special procedures or disclosures to the septic tank
company and that-. we may proceed to pump the tanks as
we =had done prior to the discovery of .the water
contamination. Apparently if any specific
requirements exist, they would be imposed by the
disposal destination. - Of course;, for the past
fourteen months uncontaminated water has .been entering
these tanks thereby removing or tremendously diluting
any HVOC product in them.
I would Like to proceed with this maintanenae work
+ at the .beginning of next week Please let me know of
t - the above uriderstaneng does not,saccurately reflect`
your directions . If I do not hear from you, I will,
assume that I may proceed as described above.
Sincerely yours ,
44,
ori than Marlowe
JM:ce
C
