(GeoAudit) will be performing an eight-hour!,vapor extraction test at the
subject site.
1
1
e
Vapor Eximcgion Test
i
s
A portable internal combustion system will be setup on-site abd operated for a period of S
to 10 hours to determine the subsUrface permeability to vapor,'radial influence of the vapor
extraction well and the initial hydrocarbon recovery rate.
These parameters will facilitate in the design of the SVE 4stem and will be used to
determine the number of vapor wells, the spacing of the wellg and the selection of a vapor
remediation system (i.e, internal combustion, thermal oxidatipn, etc.). The selection of a
vapor remediation system will be determined by evaluating the concentrations of extracted
hydrocarbon vapor and the estimated supplemental fuel requitements for each of the vapor
remediation systems. The determination of these parameters atte absolutely necessary for the
design and implementation of a SVE system that can meet tie remediation objectives.
Remediation well VW-1 will be used as the primary extraction well, Monitoring well MW-1,
which presently contains only a few feet of water, will bi used an observation well.
Additionally, two of the remaining monitoring wells (MW-2 tw' ough MW-4)will be used as
an observation wells.
1 1
Full Spectrum Environmertw Services•Hydrog¢ofogy
1
