Meays: h <br /> I am pleased to report that yesterday ! spoke with Susan <br /> Phillips , Coordinator for Region Fivewith the Underground <br /> Storage Tank Clean Up Fund. She indicated that they had <br /> received instructions from the State Water Resources Control <br /> - Board to re-prioritize 'iis to Priority B and' were iri the <br /> process of doing so. As I mentioned to,[ you our <br /> attorneys have been successful after ower ayear and a half <br /> of appeals . This means that, barring any unforseen <br /> bureacratic logjams, that we will soon be eligible for state <br /> clean up monies which will enable us tormove forward promptly <br /> with remediating our site. Ms . Phillips indicated that an <br /> approximate timetable would involve thair conducting a site <br /> k visit in Stockton in September at which time they would be <br /> 'i reviewing our records at your office , followed by a LOC in <br /> October with a release of initial fundsrby December. <br /> I am relating the above to you in somedeta'i1 since the work <br /> plan, that we will be submitting to you ,will be assigned a <br /> time line in accordance with the above ;projections . At <br /> present I have received one proposal and am.' awaiting two <br /> others as required by the USTCF. I expect them soon but if I <br /> don't receive them by next week, I wily be unable to evaluate }° <br /> and contract with a consultant since I 'will, be away on a <br /> combination of business and travel froml August 10 through <br /> August 30th.
