26 April 2011
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0104
detect any constituents of concern. Analytical results of soil samples are
summarized in Table 2. Boring logs are presented in Appendix C. A report of
findings (Monitoring Well Installation Report-March 2008, dated 29 July 2008)was
prepared by AGE and submitted to the EHD and RWQCB.
General lithology, soil sample locations, and the estimated extent of impacted soil beneath
the site before SVE remediation is depicted in cross sectional view in Figures 4 through 6
and in plan view in Figure 2.
2.4. GROUND WATER MONITORING EVENTS
Between January 1993 and August 2010, approximately forty-six (46) ground water
monitoring events were performed at the site to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon
concentrations in ground water and to characterize ground water flow direction and
gradient on the site. Since initiation of the ground water monitoring program, ground water
elevations have ranged from approximately 22 to 62 feet below the North American Vertical
Datum 88 (NAVD88) and depths to ground water have ranged from approximately 52 to
92 feet below the tops of the well casings (btoc). Ground water at the site has consistently
flowed towards the northeast. Ground water elevation data is summarized in Table 1.
Figure 3 depicts historical ground water flow directions and illustrates the most recent
contoured ground water elevations measured on 10 August 2010.
2.5. STRATIGRAPHY
The soil profile beneath the site is generally composed of sandy silt and silty sand with
lenses of clay and fine-grained sand and silt. Soil boring and well completion logs are
presented in Appendix C. Cross sections A-A', B-B' and C-C' depict general lithology
beneath the site (Figures 4, 5 and 6, respectively).
3.0. SENSITIVE RECEPTOR SURVEY
A sensitive receptor survey is required as part of site characterization requirements under
the California Code of Regulations - Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16, Section 2654. AGE
reviewed Water Well Drillers Reports (WWDRs) at the Department of Water Resources
(DWR) and performed a door -to-door survey to determine the locations of water wells
within a 2,000-foot radius of the subject property.
Advanced CeoEnvironmental,tnc.
