August 5, 1988 AGS Job No. 38033-1
Marlowe Properties, Stockton, California
RECOMMENDATIONS
Applied GeoSystems recommends that additional subsurface work be
conducted at the site. This work should include delineati,on.of
the horizontal extent of ground-water contamination. Additional
monitoring wells should be installed in the inferred downgradient
and lateral directions of ground-water flow. At least one
monitoring well should be installed in the upgradient direction of
ground.-water flow. Proposed monitoring well locations are shown
on the Generalized Site Plan (Plate P-2) . This work will enable
Applied GeoSystems to calculate the actual ground-water flow
direction and allow an indication of the extent of ground-water
contamination. Sampling methodology and monitoring-well
construction details should follow protocol presented in this
report and used in our initial investigation. Applied GeoSystems
also recommends that a selected soil sample and the ground water
be analyzed by EPA Method 8240 to help identify other chemicals
which may be present in the subsurface.
14
Aiop/led GOOSYSMMS
