4. <br /> August 5, 1988 AGS Job No. 38033-1 <br /> Marlowe Properties, Stockton, California <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> information provided by Marlowe Properties personnel indicates <br /> that four underground storage tanks were located in various areas. <br /> on the site. One 500-gallon tank was used to store regular <br /> leaded gasoline; the approximate former location of the tank is <br /> shown on the Generalized Site Plan (Plate P-2) . The contents and <br /> locations of. the other tanks are unknown to Applied GeoSystems. <br /> RAMCON, Inc. , of West Sacramento removed these tanks in O'anuary <br /> 1987. <br /> According to the property owner, soil samples were collected from <br /> the base of the tank cavity during tank removal operations by <br /> RALCON. Samples collected were not analyzed for organic lead. <br /> RAMCON further excavated at a later date to collect samples to be <br /> analyzed for organic lead. RAMCON collected samples at 17 feet <br /> below grade; these samples were analyzed for the volatile <br /> hydrocarbon constituents benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and <br /> total xylene isomers (BTEX) by Environmental Protection Agency <br /> (EPA) Method 8020 and total volztile hydrocarbons (TVH) by <br /> v modified EPA Method 8011. Soil samples were also analyzed for <br /> _..-.-- total- miscellaneous-hydrocarbons;- organic lead, and-ethylene <br /> dibromide.
