I <br /> QUARTERLY REPORT <br /> April 1994 <br />' MarIowe Properties <br /> 4648 East Waterloo Road <br /> IStockton, California <br />' 1.4 INTRODUCTION <br /> At the direction of Mr Jonathan Marlowe of Marlowe Properties, Geological Audit <br /> Services, Inc (GeoAudrt) has prepared this quarterly report of groundwater sampling <br /> activities and remediation well installation at 4648 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California <br /> I (the site) This report describes the sampling and drilling procedures and presents the results <br /> of laboratory analyses <br />' 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Location <br />' The site is located 1n a flat industrial area east of Stockton, California (Figure 1) A large <br /> warehouse, a small office building, two fenced storage yards and a parking/delivery area are <br /> present on the site (Figure 2) The office is currently vacant. the warehouse is occupied by <br /> C V Sports <br /> 2.2 Previous Work <br /> IGeoAudrt was retained by Marlowe Properties to install one groundwater monitoring well <br /> (MW-2) in December, 1992, for the purpose of sampling groundwater in the vicinity of a <br />' previously removed underground tank facility No petroleum hydrocarbons were detected <br /> in soil samples collected during the construction of MW-2, however, benzene and <br /> halogenated hydrocarbons were detected in the water sample from MW-2 in Januaay 1993 <br /> I Monitoring well MW-2 was sampled again in April of 1993 and slight increases in these <br /> constituents were reported In order to determine the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons, <br /> further groundwater assessment, in the form of at least two additional monitoring wells, was <br /> required by PHS/EHD <br /> In August, 1993, GeoAudrt submitted a work plan to install two groundwater monitoring <br /> wells The monitoring wells (MW-3 and MW-4) were installed at the site on September 29 <br /> and 30, 1993 MW-3 was drilled to a depth of 100 feet, MW-4 was drilled to a depth of 105 <br /> O.ob�n1 A-dd S.�vr a I.. 1 <br /> MaIk—PWP.n QIV4.9V 1.35 <br />
