i <br /> • <br /> i <br /> QUARTERLY REPORT <br /> January 1994 <br /> Marlowe Properties <br /> 4648 East Waterloo Road <br /> Stockton, California <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> At the direction of Mr Jonathan Marlowe of Marlowe Properties, Geological Audit <br /> Services, Inc (GeoAudtt) has prepared this quarterly report of sampling activities at 4648 <br /> East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California (the site) This report describes the sampling <br /> Iprocedures and presents the results of laboratory analyses <br /> I2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Location <br /> The site is located in a flat industrial area east of Stockton, California (Figure 1) A large <br /> warehouse, a small office building, two fenced storage yards and a parking/delivery area are <br /> present on the site (Figiiie 2) The office is currently vacant, the warehouse is occupied by <br /> C V Sports <br /> I2.3 Previous Work <br /> GeoAudtt was retained by Marlowe Properties to install one groundwater monitoring well <br /> in December, 1992, foi the purpose of sampling groundwater in the vicinity of a previously <br /> removed underground tank facility No soil contamination was detected in this well, but <br /> I Halogenated hydrocarbons and benzene were detected in the water sample from this well <br /> in January 1993 The well was sampled again in April of 1993 and slight increases in <br /> contaminant concentrations were reported Based on these results, further groundwater <br /> I assessment, in the foi m of at least two additional monitoring wells, was required by <br /> PHS/EHD <br /> I In August, 1993, GeoAudtt submitted a work plan to install two groundwater monitoring <br /> I wells and one vadose-zone remediation well The monitoring wells (MW-3 and MW-4)were <br /> installed at the site on September 29 and 30, 1993, the vadose-zone well has not yet been <br /> Idrilled MW-3 was di filled to a depth of 100 feet, MW-4 was drilled to a depth of 105 feet <br /> No TPH of BTE&X contamination was detected in any of the soil samples that were <br /> 1 <br /> I <br />
