Copies of these records
are included in Appendix A to this report.
i
LABORATORY ANALYSES
1
Soil samples selected from boring B-2 for chemical analyses
included the sample from immediately above ground water and the
sample showing the highest reading on the organic vapor analyzer;
soil sample S-45-B2 with an OVA concentration of 624 ppm. Sample
S-30-B1, obtained from the total depth of the boring B-1, was also
selected for analysis. Soil samples were analyzed by HAZCAT Mobil
Organics Lab in San Carlos, California, for total petroleum
hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline by Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) Method 8015 (modified) , and the volatile hydrocarbon
constituents benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene
isomers by EPA Method 8020. The soil samples were also analyzed
for organic lead by EPA Method 7420 at Sequoia Analytical
Laboratory, in Redwood City, California. Both laboratories are
certified by the State of California for the analyses performed.
One water sample collected from monitoring well MW-1 was analyzed
at Applied GeoSystems ' laboratory in Fremont, California. The
sample was analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline
•
11
App/led GeoSystems
